The Resistance

=== The City of Ylime 7 B.C. 25th of December ===
“Are you in?” I yelled at the crowd. They yelled, “Yes!” I walked into the central chamber of the keep. I looked at the captains of the resistance, then one spoke saying, “Arcadius, you are mad! There is no way we can with stand a strike from Rome.” I replied saying, “Yes we will if we have fire archers in the towers, and use the ruins in the west and East forests. We can also make a barrier in front of the wall here.” And I pointed to the model. A second captain spoke, “Oh ya? Well sir what if we don’t use the ruins?” “Then we won’t be able to ambush.” Before the discussion pushed up further 2 children walked in one was 10, the other 7. I said, “Kids how are you?” They said “we’re good.” I told them to go and play in the city, and then I heard a horn sound. They’re here! I ran to the edge of the wall and looked down to see a Roman army, 20,000 infantry, HA pathetic. I told my archers to get ready, under the wall so the Romans didn’t know we would be attacking. Then I Yelled to the Roman general, “What do you want?” he replied, “To take your city, by peace or war.” “You want peace?” “And your city yes.” “Hold on I need to talk to the council.” I walked towards the chamber, grabbed my War scythe and through towards the general. My War scythe flew right through the general’s heart and hit his lieutenant through the leg. That was the signal all the 4,000 archers with flaming arrows shot. 5,000 Romans soldiers died in the first volley. Then the gates opened and the horsemen road out slaughtering all in their path. The Romans broke ranks and fled. I called the horsemen back into the city. We then proceeded to count the dead. 18,945 Romans were killed and 597 Romans were captured as slaves. This won’t be good…

=== The Temple of Jupiter in Roma 7 B.C. 28th of December ===
I was in the temple of Jupiter when I heard a disturbance. I ran out with my business partner Mr. Pilate we saw only 1,458 Roman troops enter the city. This wasn’t good, the Caesar will be angry. I wonder who could have done this.
=== The City of Ylime ===
“Sir! The Eastern and Western ruins are occupied by our troops, we have 20 Scorpios, and 2 catapults. We also have ally soldiers incoming from Yeliac, and Nosidam.” He yelled at me. I said, “Good job soldier and get ready I think another wave of them are going to be coming.” He replied saying, “Of course, Glory and Honor unto you sir.” “And unto you as well” He left. I stood their starring off into the distance, and then my kids came in. They always made me happy, I’m glad they are here.

“But sir! We need your help.” I pleaded to him. He stayed the same, “I cannot grant you this favor Williamon. I’m sorry. You will have to go and tell Arcadius your failure. I hope he doesn’t want you dead for that.” “He won’t, well I will return and probably die by the blade.” “Wait, I will be moving my position as a governor of the holy land. === The City of Nosidam 7 B.C. 28th of December ===
The scholar looked at a lowly blacksmith, the messenger from Arcadius. The scholar laughed and walked off. I couldn’t return to the city of Ylime, and such I fled to Roma.
=== The Plaza of Roma ===
I was doing a performance as usual and I saw Ianidaus and a few of his friends talking. I would have joined, but I a worthless performer would have had been killed. I watched from afar when Ianidaus ran into Mr. Pilate, and Mr. Nazati. I wonder, what are they saying? What ever it is Ianidaus seems to be enjoying himself. I also saw the twins Jordus and Adus, they seem to be enjoying the show my cohorts are performing. I think… YES they are giving generously! I can’t believe it! I then turned and saw the Golden Jewel. BAH disgusting, I at least chose a wholesome entertainment genre, I can’t imagine someone liking her for more than “professional benefit”. Right nothing professional about it. I’m disgusted even thinking about it. Who is that? Is that? It is, Pontius Pilate, soon-to-be prefect of the Holy Land…

=== The City of Ylime 7 B.C. 30th of December ===
Then Williamon ran into the city yelling, and ranting. When I got to him he said, “Our sister cities have surrendered to Roman rule. Curticus fled to Roma to get information. They are sending an army of 40,000 Roman Infantry, and 250 Ballistas, 100 Scorpios, and 50 Catapults, and I’ve betrayed by a friend who became a Roman spy.” I replied, “You did your best soldier, get some rest.” “Glory and Honor unto you sir.” “And unto you as well.”
=== The Plane of Yeliac ===
I watched as the soldiers marched over the plane towards the city of Ylime. All I could do was watch, so I rode off to my new home, the holy land, where my new job as Governor is.
=== The City of Nosidam ===
I say the soldiers enter the city looking for someone. I walked up to them and asked, “Who is it you’re looking for?” They replied Taylius. I was surprised what did I do? I asked “What do you need him for?” They replied the Caesar wanted Taylius to help him. I then said, “So let us go to the city of Roma.” They then realized that I was Taylius, and so the journey begins.

=== The City of Roma 7 B.C. 30th of December ===
I entered the city knowing no one. I was walking down the street and saw a group of thespians. I walked up to them and introduced myself, “I am Curticus a blacksmith new to town could you tell me where I could buy a workshop?” One of the thespians spoke, “Yes on the far side of town, but you need to speak with Mr. Pilate.” “Who?” I replied. “Mr. Pilate, a wealth banker on that side of town, here I’ll help you.” The thespian broke rank from his peers to help me. We stared a pleasant conversation he said “Curticus, I’m Antonicus, and welcome to Roma.” “Pleased to meet you, how is the town compared to others?” “Town? It’s a city, and well… I’ve never really been out of the city walls.”
=== The Bank of Roma ===
I saw my boss and his partner walking towards me. I hurried and made myself look busy on some banking work, not the Alchemy I was working on. They walked by, clear. Oh here comes Miss Pilate, and her brother and cousin Pontius. Hurry, look busy. Pontius first spoke, “Ianidaus how’s it going?” I replied “Good, how about you?” “Great, I here you have something for my cousin.” “What do you mean, as a friend?” “More.” “Preposterous, she is just a friend nothing more, or less.” “Ya, see what you mean, she is probably to warrior like to ever be in the eyes of a man.” “Um, you know she is right next to you right?” “Ya, so? She doesn’t mind, she used to my kind of jokes.” Pontius walked off with one of his cousins, Miss Pilate stayed. She asked “Is that really how you feel?” I replied carefully “More or less. Why do you put up to that?” “He’s my cousin, and my father would have my head if I harmed him.” “So anyways, how are you?” “Good, how about yourself?” “Good, thanks for asking.” “Welcome.” In the distance I heard a loud noise. Miss Pilate responded, “It’s probably just Pontius.” Then Antonicus ran in. “Ianidaus, I need your help. Oh hi, Miss Pilate. Anyways, Ianidaus you need to save Mr. Pilate!”

=== The Bank of Roma 7 B.C. 30th of December ===
I ran into the room, Mr. Pilate seemed to be poisoned by an unknown substance; I grabbed a vial of an antidote or miracle medicine that works on everything, one of my many creations. He started to get up, as if nothing happened. He turned to me and said, “Thank you, though how did you do it?” I replied “I’m secretly an Alchemist.” “Well, you have my blessing to work on that full time.” “What?” “I’ll pay you just to work on alchemy, if you already made miracle medicine, who knows what else you can make.” “Thank you sir.” I don’t know what exactly happened but I got to live my dream, Mr. Pilate was nicer to me, Miss Pilate would visit a little more, and Mr. Nazati seemed a little more sour at me. All in all it was a great day.
=== The Shop ===
I started to get to work on building my forge I can’t wait! I hope I get a lot of customers.
=== Ianidaus’ Home ===
When I got home I worked, and worked, and worked. I would build the greatest what-you-ma-call-it ever! That was the problem. What-you-ma-call-it is a placeholder for what I would make. I looked at the mini statue of me and asked, “What will I make?” like always no reply. I planed and schemed and planed some more, this will be a long day.

=== The City of Ylime 6 B.C. 1st of January ===
They came, they saw, and they failed. When they started to attack it was night, I had 1,000 men to the east in the ruins, and to the west. I also had 3,000 archers on the city walls. While the Infantry, Ballistas, and Scorpios where towards the front of the enemy lines the catapults were in the back. Our 100 horsemen in the east and west rode and killed the men guarding the catapults in silence. They then commandeered the catapults and re aligned them to attack the front line of the enemy. I then gave the signal in a large fire. All the archers fired their flame arrows killing 6,000 Romans. Then the archers shot a second round scoring the same. Then the horsemen shot the catapults destroying any remaining Ballistas and Scorpios, it also killed 500 Romans. The remaining horsemen rode out and slaughtered many of the non-fleeing Romans. We then counted the dead. 39,257 Romans died, the rest were captured and 100 of our men were injured, none killed. I wish I could see the face of the Caesar, that tyrant. We shall keep fighting until we loose every last breath. Nothing will stop the Resistance.
=== The Shop ===
I then served my 2nd customer of the day. He was talking about a war that happened a while ago. Only about 1,458 soldiers out of 20,000 came home. I wonder what war he is talking about. While I was talking to him I saw the most beautiful lady. I asked my customer, “Who is that?” he replied “The golden Jewel, want a good time? She’s the best.” I replied, “Wait you mean like a…” “A crazy lunatic that will be killed by a serial killer because of her job, yes.” “I won’t let that happen.” “Listen a relationship is based off of what you know about each other, not what they look like… more or less.” “Who are you?” “Ianidaus, Alchemist, banking assistant, moralist, inventor, sculptor, scholar, and a good friend of many.” “Well, do you have a relationship with anyone?” “Many friends and family, why?” “I mean aeros.” “Oh, well, um…” “What’s the matter? Lion caught your tongue?” “Well, ya.” “Who do you like?” “No not going to say, you’re not a friend of me, just my blacksmith.” “Fine, Glory and Honor unto you.” “Ya you too buddy.” He then walked off to the business district.

=== Temple of Jupiter in Roma 6 B.C. 3rd of January ===
While we were leaving the Temple of Jupiter with Miss Pilate we saw 4 soldiers come into the city, going to see the Caesar. They were resistance soldiers… I hope they ask for peace. I had to hold Miss Pilate back from attacking them. We watched as the left.
=== The Shop ===
I then saw them walking by, I said to them, “Hey, you what happened to Ylime?” one of them replied “We won we killed over 97% of their army, the rest are our slaves.” “Really, well good, move along soldier.” “You’re Curticus aren’t you?” “Yes, need anything while you’re here, I’ll be happy to help.” “Sure you will.” They then walked off. I then turned and saw the Golden Jewel, I then started to follow her…
=== The Center of Roma ===
I saw the 4 soldiers, they looked like Curticus when he first entered the city. I watched them patiently from my stage, soon they started to walk up the stairs towards the Caesar’s Home, the idiots.
=== Caesar’s Grounds===
We stopped them from entering saying. “We’re sorry, Tiberius doesn’t talk to slime. We’ll relay the message to him though.” The 4 of them said “Your last siege failed. Ylime still stands, if you think you can break through the walls try again.” They then left, we then ran to tell Taylius, who could tell Caesar.

=== Roma’s Alleys 6 B.C. 3rd of January ===
I was looking around for her. She seemed to have been lost in the crowd. I will not lose her! I searched and searched and searched, nowhere. Then I saw a giant building I moved towards it. Was it? Yes it was! It was where she would most likely work. I didn’t lose her, I can still get her.
=== Ianidaus’ Home 6 B.C. 4th of January ===
I was in my workshop working on another potion when I heard a knock. I hurried and hid the potion and locked my workshop door. I then opened the front door, saying “Hello Mr. Pilate.” He replied “Hello Ianidaus.” “Do you need something to drink sir?” I said walking towards my kitchen. “No, I came to see your next piece of work.” He said. “Um sir, I haven’t found a need … yet, but if you have a suggestion on what I could do, then maybe I can work on that.” “You haven’t found a need? Is something wrong Ianidaus?” “No sir, just been thinking because of an argument I got in to with my blacksmith.” “Right, well I hope it doesn’t interfere with your work.” I then realized that Mr. Pilate looked older than usual thanks to the lighting, and then I got an idea. “No sir, I don’t think it has.” I started to get a smile on my face.

=== Ianidaus’ Home 6 B.C. 5th of January ===
I was working for a long time, very studiously. I was working on not my second, but third potion. I scrapped my second… for now. This third potion will make it so we don’t have to die so young. I was almost done when I heard a plea for help. I ran outside and saw a group of young men harassing Miss Pilate. 6 of them were holding her down, the 7th was about to kick her. I sprung into action; I broke the 7th guy’s leg, and his arm. 2 other the people holding my friend down I choked one of them, and used him as a human shield from the 2nd. I dropped the first, who was just unconscious, and did a wrist lock on the 2nd. A 3rd man let go of Miss Pilate, a big mistake. She got free and knocked out the other 3 guy that tried to hold her down. The last guy that wasn’t hurt ran off. Miss Pilate turned to me and said “Thanks, I don’t know what they were going to do, nor do I want to.” I replied “That’s probably for the best, do you want to stay at my house until you O.K. or do you…” “It’s O.K. I’m just a little in pain.” She fell when she took 5 more steps. I picked her up and took her to my house. She woke up 3 hours later and was surprised, like I guessed. She yelled, “What the Tartarus is going on?” I replied “You became unconscious because you were hit in your gut. I brought you here, until you would wake up.” “Thanks I think” She started to get up. She turned and saw a hand held statue of her. “What is that?” she said. I replied “I was bored so I made something while you were here, like a souvenir.” “Right… well… um… I think I should get back home now.” “Ya, you probably should.” “Well, bye, nice to talk to you.” “Ya glory and honor unto you.” “What?” “It’s something my blacksmith says to me when I leave.” “Ah, well unto you as well.” She then walked out. I’m so stupid, AAAAAAAH! I can’t believe it though, I was able to save her from Jupiter knows what. This little incident at home though was awkward, a little too awkward for my taste.

=== The Library of Roma 6 B.C. 6th of January ===
I was organizing the books when I heard a crash. I quickly ran to the scene, just as I suspected, The Blacksmith. I ushered him out right quick and returned to my books. I wonder what she would have done… Ah no, there is no time for that now. I am a scholar, and I don’t have time for that filth. I am a scholar, and I don’t have time for that filth.
=== The Market of Roma ===
I stood once again between performances watching the people go by. I saw a mysterious figure following Mr. Pilate. Who is that, and what is he holding? All of a sudden someone grabbed my shoulder from behind me, I Screamed and turned. It was only Curticus. He is in love with The Golden Jewel. I can only pity him, but at least he is seeking out his love, and not hiding it away, like someone I know. We then headed over to her work place; I was going to help him act… casually formal.
=== The Bank of Roma ===
I once again found myself saving my boss. He was stabbed 3 times by a mysterious man who ran off. I gave Mr. Pilate another invention of mine… a premium poultice packet. It saved him… barely. Someone defiantly wants him dead, but who? Once again Mr. Pilate seemed nicer to me, Pontius thanked me, Miss Pilate acted friendlier to me, and Mr. Nazati seemed angry with me…

=== Mr. Nazati’s Home 6 B.C. 7th of January ===
I knocked on the door and waited. Mr. Nazati came to the door ushering some people out at the same time. I came in, and I said, “Sir, you wanted to see me?” He replied, “Yes, good job saving my partner.” “Thank you, but I don’t think that I need to be praised.” “Your right, I think I know how you were able to save him.” “Really! You know that I’m paranoid and carry all my potions with me?” “No… I was going to say you were the one trying to kill him, but that works as well.” “I want to kill him? Why would I want to kill him? He’s good to me, allowed me to pursue my dream and is related to my… friend.” Mr. Nazati pondered this. He then spoke, “Your… friend? Which friend? Mr. Pilate’s son, nephew, or daughter?” “All of them are my friends.” I replied. He said back, “Maybe you were talking about one in particular, Miss Pilate. I heard you saved her from-” “From being who knows what.” “Right, was that out of protection of a friend or more.” “A friend, of course.” “O.K. I got nothing more to ask you.” “Wait sir, how did you know about that incident?” “I have eyes everywhere.” “Well, Glory and Honor unto you.” “What?” “Something my blacksmith says when he says good bye.” “Well good, thanks, you may leave now.” I left with more questions than answers… I wonder why he seems to know so much about what bad things happen to the Pilates… Oh well, no time to ponder that now. I need to get home!

I was waiting and then my 2 favorite customers came and ordered a few items. Antonicus needed a few props for his plays. He said before he left “I hope you find great happiness with her.” I replied, “I will, Glory and Honor unto you brother.” “And unto you as well.” Then Ianidaus came up and said, “Hello how are you doing?” I replied saying, “Amazing, how about you?” “Confused, anyways… wait amazing, that’s fantastic! Why?” “I met the love of my life and she is exactly who I want.” “Is it the Golden Jewel?” “Yes who else?” Ianidaus did a little turn of his head and made a gagging noise. I said, “What you don’t believe me?” “I do, it is just disgusting.” “Well at least I can say openly who I love, and pursue her, what about you?” “I? I don’t say it to strangers so they can destroy one of my friendships whom I have these emotions towards.” “Right, so you in love one of your friends? I thought I was-” “No one of my friends that is a woman.” “OOOOOH! I get it now...”

=== The City of Ylime 6 B.C. 8th of January ===
The armies of Rome are incoming there are over 100,000 Infantry, 550 Ballistas, 250 Scorpios, 100 Polybolos, 150 Catapults, Onagers, and Trebuchets, 20 siege towers, 80 Galleries, 2220 Chariots, 660 Horsemen, 4 Tri-Catapults, and Battering Ram. When I say this I yelled “HOLY JUPITER!!!” I already had the men in a flanking position, and we have about 30 captured catapults in the city. All of them filled with the dead bodies of the Romans I then shouted to the Roman General “Here’s you men back!” All 30 catapults fired and the bodies flew into the Roman’s lines, scarring the life right out of them. Our archers all fired in a large V shape killing a large number of Romans. Then the Romans shot their Scorpios at the wall, none of them hit a soldier, but they might have well. Out catapults were ruined. We are Archimedesed. This will be a very tough fight.

I was astounded with all the wonders of the Holy Land. I only wish that I could have helped Williamon.

I was well in the middle of my work, when someone knocked on the door. I answered it and there was Miss Pilate. She came in and we started to talk about a lot of things…

I was in the office and Mr. Nazati ran into the room yelling, “He’s taking advantage of your daughter!” my response was, “Who?” “Her supposed friend Ianidaus.” “No that’s not right he’s not doing that, I’ll go and see what exactly is happening.”
=== The Center of Roma ===
I then saw a huge brawl about to start, I saw that the Golden Jewel was about to get hit. I pushed her out of the way. Curticus came along thanked me and walked off with her.
=== The Library of Roma ===
I heard a large racket… again… I went to see who it was. It wasn’t the blacksmith… surprisingly, it was the Alchemist, and his… girlfriend, fiancé, wife, I don’t know. I kicked them out anyways.
=== The City of Ylime ===
I was in the walls Terrified, Screams were heard all around… This is not good. Not good at all. I saw Arcadius raise his war scythe. I then got some strength back… I will live! I AM WILLIAMON!!!

All we had in our city is 5,000 Resistance Fighters and 20 Scorpios, we will loose terribly, but we will die fighting, and we will not surrender!!! My captains and I were getting ready on how best to defend our city, when all of a sudden Williamon ran in and yelled, “They are advancing!!!” I yelled, “send the fire archers to burn all their advancements” They ran out launching arrows burning siege towers, ballistas, Scorpios, Chariots, and more. Then their battering ram reached the gate. The archers all shot at it; while they were distracted the last 2 siege towers boarded the city walls. The Romans ran through the city slaughtering hundreds of troops, while we tried to hold out. Eventually every resistance fighter fell, except for 21 of us. They yelled, you are Prisoners of War, you can be slaves, or gladiators take you pick. My remaining 20 men looked to me to decide, I chose to become a gladiator. This will be my destiny to become a gladiator, and I will. I will live to fight another day, with Glory, and Honor!!!

=== Barracks of the Coliseum 3 A.D. ===
That was 7 years ago, and I have worked up the gladiator ranks taking a trophy from each tournament. A lion skin, a tiger skin, a rhino horn, the helmet of an undefeated gladiator, a chariot wheel, the cape of a Spartan, as many, many more. I had to kill a captain of mine, he sliced open my nose, and I have heard that only 5 of my men were left. I have been so good they allow people to come and see me, and that is when I met the alchemist Ianidaus.

=== Barracks of the Roman Arena 22 A.D. ===
“My friend it’s impossible!” he yelled at me. I replied “No it’s not all I need is a new weapon can you take this note to thespian Antonicus, he knows where to take it.” Ianidaus seemed unease, but he accepted and left with out another word. I heard that I was up next I looked at my weapon rack and grabbed my favorite weapon of mine, the War Scythe, a spear that used a scythe blade instead of a spearhead. I ran into the coliseum.
=== The Roman Arena Ring 22 A.D. ===
It is 10 on 2 it was my last captain and me verses 10 barbarians from Gal. I swung my war scythe slicing 5 of the barbarians, and then I decapitated the 6th. I heard a scream, while I stabbed the 7th, and pushing my war scythe through stabbing the 8th. I turned and saw my captain dead. I cut the legs of the 9th, and when he was on the ground I stabbed his body. I turned one last time and threw my war scythe it flew true and stabbed the last man in the head. I casually walked up to the corpse and pulled my war scythe out, I wiped it off, and I walked back into the barracks…

=== Barracks of the Roman Arena 23 A.D. 3rd of January ===
“My friend I have found a great discovery!” “What?” I replied. “I have created a device that will blow up when lit… I call it saltpeter!” he said. I responded saying, “That’s good. Did Antonicus ever give you the weapon back?” He said, “Yes here it is, what is it exactly?” I replied, “It’s a chicken sickle, another in my collection.” I then showed Ianidaus my weapon rack and explained each one. Then Ianidaus said, “Do you really need all those weapons?” I stared at him for a second, and then he said “I heard that Williamon is also a decent fighter.” “Yes,” I replied, “He is one of the last 4 soldiers of mine from the city of Ylime.” Ianidaus replied, “Well, he apparently met Nathius a governor of the Holy land. I think I gave one of my miracle medicine bottles to a Galilean Carpenter. But that’s what you get for selling stuff right?” “Right… well I think I hear another game being called go to Curticus my blacksmith, he will tell you what to do.” Ianidaus said, “Of course honor and glory unto you Arcadius.” Then he left though the door. I then grabbed a weapon and ran into the ring…
=== Roman Arena Ring 23 A.D. 3rd of January ===
I was in the middle of the ring with my 4 remaining soldiers we then heard what we were up against the kings of the beasts Lions and Tigers. 5 Tigers, and 5 Lions came in we all fought hard and diligently. The beasts devoured 2 of my men. The remaining men killed the beasts. We were about to go in when a Liger came in and attacked. I jumped up into the air with my dual sided great axe and decapitated the Liger. We then walked back into the barracks.

=== Barracks of the Roman Arena 23 A.D. 24th of January ===
Ianidaus came in with 5 weapons and said to me “Here they are as you requested Arcadius, Curticus has been busy, Williamon has arranged Nathius to get a chariot to take you 2 to the holy land, and I have been trying to perfect this weapon of yours, it needs energy, like, like a fire, but with electricity.” I replied, “That’s a lot of time, don’t you have a family?” “I, I have one person on my eyes but, she deserves more than me, as I am now.” “Is she married?” “No, and she isn’t being looked upon yet.” “Why?” “She stays mostly inside, and she is more of a warrior. Did you ever have a family?” “Yes and 5 kids. They were killed during the invasion of Ylime, and my wife was taken advantage of from the soldiers of the Caesar. I heard though Tiberius, the Caesar, ordered those soldier’s deaths.” “I’m sorry I asked, I truly am, and I’m sorry that happened.” “What weapons do you have for me?” Ianidaus placed the weapons on the table “lets see here… a double war scythe, a triple scythe, a Kujang, a dual scythe, and a double dual scythe. I entered the ring with my Triple Scythe and my horse. I was ready for battle I then mounted my horse and rode into the ring slicing any foe in my way…

=== Roman Arena Ring 23 A.D. 26th of January ===
My horse was fast; I sliced the first 7 men in the ring. The 8th man tried to board and I kicked him into the sickles on the saddle. Then horsemen came in. I cut them apart while on horseback. Then archers came in, they aimed shot, and I was on the ground, with my horse dead, and I had an arrow in my leg. I pulled out my Tonfa Scythe and my Sickle Bow. I shot and reloaded, and shot. I dodged to the left, and then shot again. I got a head shot each time all 5 of the archers dropped dead. 5 gladiators with swords came in. I blocked with my Tonfa Scythe and gutted the first gladiator. I stabbed the second with the fork tip. I sliced the third and flew through to the fourth. The fifth came and attacked I didn’t kill him at first… just cut off his hands. Everyone cheered and the Caesar gave him the thumbs down. The gladiator asked for mercy, it reminded me of a famous saying in history my grandfather told me, and his grandfather told him, and so on. I yelled it out using all my lungs to yell, “Mercy? There is no mercy here, FOR THIS IS ROME!!!” I them sliced his head off, and yelled, “Are you Entertained? Are you entertained?” I heard them yelling in excitement, I then mudded to myself “you better be…”

Ianidaus walked in and yelled, “That was amazing!!! I was performing a play when I saw him running through the crowd. Ianidaus seemed in a large hurry. When the play was finished I tried to follow him. I lost him in the crowd though. I then accidentally ran into a scholar “Hello.” I said. He responded saying, “Great show, a great show indeed. I’m Taylius.” “Hello I’m Antonicus.” “The battle of Troy? An interesting play topic.” “You know what it is about, finally someone other than me.”

I ran in the ring while the announcer yelled, “It is our favorite the mighty Arcadius of Greece!” the crowd roared, the announcer continued saying “Verses the legendary Brother’s Malum of Tafrica!” The 3 8’’ men walked in the ring holding Javelins. I had a measly shield and a Muir Sickle (a form of a Sickle Sword). The first of the 3 threw his javelin and I blocked with my shield, He threw his second and I dodged ran to him and before he could get his sword out I stabbed him in the neck. The Second of the 3 became furious and charged at me with his javelin aimed at my head, I weaved left, sliced off the tip, grabbed it while it fell and stabbed him in the gut with it. He tried to punch me I moved to the right and sliced his head off. The last of them threw his Javelin and me. I grabbed it flipped it around and threw cutting the right side of the lower jaw off. He charged at me with his sword out. I tackled his legs; disarmed his sword hand, and then he grabbed me and threw me off. He walked over to me picked me up with one hand getting ready to do the last stab. I reached to my pouch and grabbed my Deer Knife, and I stabbed him. He dropped his sword in pain. I then picked it up and stabbed him with his sword, I then twisted behind him grabbed my dropped sword and stabbed him in the back. There were cheers all around then the announcer said. “He has proven his worth he and the 10 others who have proven their worth will be in a Tournament on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of February.” Then a man whispered into his ear. “I mean the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th, of June. I hope to see a crowed triple this then. Up next is…” I was already out of hearing shot from him. I walked back into the Barracks not knowing what to expect…

I heard cheering while I walked in I saw all the other gladiators trying to get me to see them. I walked right into my room I thought I was alone, hen I heard. “Good job! We have been waiting for you.” I turned and saw Ianidaus, Antonicus, Williamon, Taylius, as well as a few people I never met. Ianidaus introduced them, first 2 brothers one of them skinny, the other fat walked forward, “This is Adus, and Jordus.” A nicely dressed noble walked forward, “This is Nathius.” And a lady walked forward “and this is miss Pilate, her cousin is trying to get a position in the holy land to work with Nathius. He is very well known.” I replied, “Well this is good, hello, hello and hello, but where is Curticus?” Antonicus had the answer, “He is working on the next 13 weapons of yours.” I replied, “That’s great I’m running out of new combinations to use. Anyways Adu, Jordus I hope to hear more of your help soon, and it is very nice to meet you indeed. Nathius I didn’t think you would come all this way, do, do you have the second chariot?” Nathius “Um… no I don’t have those recourses as much as I used to. You have a boat to take you to the holy land I hear.” Adus said, “Yes our boat is ready, but only if… you are deemed free.” Williamon responded, “Yes, but you should all be ready just in case war breaks out.” Ianidaus yelled, “WELL… Arcadius must be tired so I think we should make our way out.” All the guests concurred, and while they left I said, “Honor and Glory unto all of you.” Many of them responded “and unto you.” I watched them take their separate paths. I then turned to Williamon and said to him. “I hope they all survive if war breaks out.” Williamon replied, “As do I sir, as do I.” He then walked out. I wonder when the dull life will become exciting again…

I was there watching the wedding. Antonicus was there, as well as many of my followers. There was one that was missing though… Curticus. I wonder where he is now he better not be doing what I think he’s doing. He better be working on his blacksmithing and not being at the Brothel. My word even I know when to stop, I bet he would visit there just to see her. Then I was prodded to stand, I saw that the wedding was over. I was being ushered out when Tiberius ran into me. He said, “Good work in the Arena, I hope you continue to… please me.” With that Tiberius left with his Praetorian Guard. I slowly got back into my cell eventually…

We walked in I turned to my wife and she said, “Well I’m guessing you’re going to have fun with me.” I replied, “In a way, probably not in the way you’re talking about.” “OH, really and why should I believe you? You are like any other man.” “I have a second bed all made out for you… and only you.” “We aren’t going to share a bed?” “No.” “Then why marry me if you aren’t going to ‘roll in the hay’?” “Because your dad asked me, he said if I didn’t then Nazatiz would for he was pressuring you father.” “So you, you saved me in a sense?” “Yes, I personally don’t think I’m worthy to marry, but I can’t see you married to Nazatiz, that would be more torture.” “Wow, well, um… I’m sorry for assuming the worse.” “That’s ok, I do that a lot.” She looked at a locked door, she asked, “What’s in that door?” “Nothing just experiments for Arcadius.” “Can I see them?” “Of course, I’m not done with them yet.” I opened the door and we walked in. She looked around and saw my 2 experiments, she then asked, “What are these?” I responded to the first one “A Quad bow, it isn’t working I need some mechanism to make it work.” “and…” “Oh, a Chain Scythe I need a fuel source though.” She started to draw on a paper “Well if you use this type of mechanism then it will work, and maybe if you add a furnace to the bottom of the chain scythe, and a device here to collect the steam to push the blade rack, then maybe it will work.” “You are a genius.” I hugged her and went back to work “yes, yes if we, then yes.” I modified her drawings to a more finalized version. “This will do nicely. I’ll have this done in a few weeks for sure!”

I heard a ruckus and Ianidaus and his wife he gave me a new crossbow. It was a Quad bow. I then asked, “So did you knock her up yet?” Ianidaus said, “No, remember I saved her from Nazatiz, I’m not going to save her only to bring her more discomfort than she needs.” I said, “Yes, I figured as much, I was just wanting to see what you said, thanks for the new weapon. I have 64 weapons now. Thank you for the support but now you should go to your seats.” I walked as I heard the couple talk for a while.
=== Roman Arena Ring 23 A.D. 11th of June ===
I ran in to the second of the 5 battles. I had my Quad bow and I mounted on my Chariot. Williamon hopped on as my driver. There were a total of 4 other chariots on our side. We were against 20 soldiers that were in a phalanx. We circled trying to kill them, I got the fist lucky shot, and it opened a hole for the rest of us. Then the archers in the middle fired killing 4 of our 11 men. The soldiers ran for the remaining chariots. I shot 4 times in a row, and then reloaded. They had 9 men left. We all shot again they had 4 men left. One of them grabbed Williamon. I jumped off the chariot, that ran into another soldier and I save Williamon from the soldier’s blade. The last man came up behind me and I turned grabbed his throat, and crushed his neck. I then walked back into the barracks to prepare for the next match.

My team of 7 men and I ran into the ring ready for anything. We looked for the enemy, then the trap doors opened, Asps, Cobras, and other snakes came in. We fought off as many as we could, but more kept coming. 2 men dropped from the poison. We finally killed all of them, then a Python came up and started to strangle one of my men, I sliced it in half. I walked into the barracks to get ready for the next round.

Yes it is nearly complete, just to test out the kinks. Some how this is bringing my wife and me together. And well honestly I think she is beginning to love me as I have loved her, but I will not move until I know she wants me to. She then said, while breaking my train of thought, “We’re out of food!” I said, “What we’ll need some for tonight.” “I’ll get some fish from the market.” “How about we both go?” “Sure.” We started to walk to the market.

I watched from above as Ianidaus and his wife were walking through the market place. I saw Antonicus, and Taylius in a conversation walking towards Ianidaus. I then saw several of Nazatiz’s men running towards them too. I thought crap, looks like I need to help. Nazatiz’s men started to attack my friends, but I pulled out my fire crossbow and fired and Nazatiz’s men’s clothes caught fire, and all 8 of them burned slowly. I landed in a pile of hay and I came out and said, “You’re welcome would be appreciated.”

We entered the ring only to find that we must siege a castle with only Scorpios, and we are against 15 Archers, which is 3 times the number of our men. We all aimed the Scorpios at the archer holes, and fired. We killed 7 of them there, but we lost 1 man. We fired again killing all but 2 archers, but we lost another man. We then charged and used my heavy scythe to break the bar on the other side of the door, buy using the hole between each half. We then pushed the doors open, the 3rd man was shot, but we all charged and killed the 2 archers. We lost that 3rd man in the fray. I walked back into the Barracks.

I walked back into the Barracks only to see Nathius with Adus, and Jordus. They turned and said pack up everything and throw it into the carriage now. I said “What, Why?” “Tafrican Resistance fighters are in the city. We must evacuate, you are one of the few that are on our list.” “Hey I need to find Ianidaus.” “Fine we already have Antonicus, Curticus, and Taylius.” “O.K. Williamon go and help them get to the boat.” Williamon replied, “Yes sir” and they left. I broke out running in search for Ianidaus.

=== City of Roma 23 A.D. 13th of June ===
I ran like a mad man looking for Ianidaus. There was Tafrican Resistance all over. There was war all over. I saw the house and ran towards it. I barely made it to the door there were buildings collapsing. I practically brake down the door and I saw and said, “I thought you said,” Ianidaus quickly tried to explain, “I said no when she didn’t want it. And please don’t do that.” “But the city is falling apart!” “WHAT!!” “Ya Tafrican Resistance.” “Well you’ll need this then, my Chain scythe, still a few kinks in it though.” His wife then said, “I love it when you do those experiments.” I’m beginning to like it better when he got married just to save her. We ran through the remaining part of the town to the boat where the others were waiting. We got on quick and we were off heading towards the Holy land coast. Tafrican ships kept trying to board; we all fought off the boarders. After the hours of sailing we reached the holy land. But, us escaping Rome would be a problem. Tiberius now thought that we were traitors… But Tiberius had other problems on his hands at the time and it wouldn’t be until a long time later he would be able to complete his actions.

I watched as Arcadius sailed away on his boat… never to be in battle again. We were all sad, but life will move on I’m sure of it! I turned away from the boat heading to the river stix. I then went to my new home… my new workshop. I turned and saw my dear friend walking with me, I took her and we walked together to our home.

I was waiting for my new delivery. I lost my leader, my lord. I can’t believe he died. How could he have died in battle? I recall it like it was yesterday.
=== The Beachhead 1 day earlier ===
I saw them coming 8 mysterious figures running to attack Ianidaus. I tried to protect him. I killed the first 2 by gutting them, then the 3rd tried to hit me, I dodged decapitated him, picked him up and threw him into 2 more enemies. After they got up they ran off, scared. The remaining 3 tried to get me. I sliced the legs off the 1st, sliced the gut open of the 2nd and cut the head clean off of the 3rd. I thought it was over, but the 2 that ran off in fear, actually ran off to get to an archer’s position. Both of them fired, the first hit me in the right foot; the second hit me in the left leg. Williamon and Curticus ran with swords out trying to kill the archers. Then Mr. Nazati came in, the mastermind of this attack, while I had my back turned to him. He grabbed my knife and stabbed me in the back. I yelled in pain, I grabbed the knife and shoved it down his throat. He died… The Archers fired again, the 3rd arrow hit me in the left hand, and the 4th hit me right next to my heart. I feel… cold…Charon I’m Coming…

I was questioning the Pharisees asking questions as normal. We have gotten news that a miracle worker is going around the Holy Land preaching good news. We were all skeptical, I was afraid however. If the Romans investigate, they would find us. I tried to put that to the back of my mind… for now.

I have am working on my greatest project… to combine weaponry with elements. I will succeed I know I can, my wife knows I can. I just need a different type of weapon for each element. If… When this succeeds I will be the most powerful person in the world. I will cleanse the world of evil, like Mr. Nazati.

This place isn’t so… good compared to Roma. The theatre is O.K. but we don’t have the freedom like in Roma. There are 3 persons that appear to be at every performance of mine. I wonder why they come. Why do they like theatre? What does this mean about them? Why do I care?

Then came Ianidaus, I said “Well hello!” His reply was, “Hello to you too, I need a weapon, actually probably 17 weapons.” “Do you have money?” “I have enough to buy 6 right now.” “Then buy 6.” “OK, I’ll have that Gladius, those Daggers, that Hammer, that Scimitar, and that Axe.” “Here you go… by the way, what are these for?” “A… project.” “Well, tell your wife hello.” “You too.” “Glory and Honor to you” “And unto you as well.” Then Ianidaus left to go home. What project he is talking about?

I was getting ready for the day strapping on armor and grabbing my Muir Sickle. This Muir sickle was once Arcadius’ I miss my general. I have to stay strong help protect the remaining people of the clan. What a weird clan… thanks to him, I lived, and we have all these… friends to fall back on. And Nathius really decided to help, I mean having us live in the holy city that he presides over. I walked out of the Barracks and started my 2000th day of duty.
=== The Theatre ===
We were in the middle of our rendition of Arcadius, written and directed by me. When the play was over I was locking up the building and then the 3 loyal fans of the theatre walked up to me and thanked me. They were triplets. 2 of them are being dragged here by their younger sibling. She loves the performances. I said “It’s always nice to meet a fan.” I then said, “I’m terribly sorry I can’t talk any longer but night is falling, and I don’t want to be attacked.” I then walked home.

Another long day… man my head aches, as does my stomach. Where is that maid with my mutton? I walked in to my room and saw my maid dead, lying on top of my mutton, on her is a death threat directed to me. The 62nd of the year, all I said to this scene was. “Really? Really? She had to fall on my Mutton. Just great! I hate this job, but I have to love it all the same.” I then pushed her body off the bed, through her into the street, and fell asleep.

I snuck in and found his weapon rack. I needed his scythe, and a sickle. I grabbed the 2 and started to walk out. There in the door way was a familiar face glaring at me. I said, “Williamon, how’s it going?” he replied, “Good, what are you doing?” “I’m collecting a Scythe and Sickle for a project.” “What project?” “An Alchemistic project.” “of…” “I cannot divulge that information yet.” “Right well, I’m afraid that you are going to have to put that back.” “Me? What? Why?” “It is Arcadius’ and he wouldn’t like it.” “Arcadius’? I was his friend I think he would rather it be used for good, than rusting away on a shelf.” “I see your point, go ahead then Ianidaus, produce something that will be remembered for all time.” “I will, you’ll see.” We then said at the same time, “Glory and Honor unto you.” I then left.

I was waiting for a customer when Taylius walked up. He said, “Look, I’m sorry for being so uppity, I wish that we can start a fresh, will you accept?” I said, “Yes, why not?” “I don’t know. From my sources however, I hear that you married, The Golden Jewel was it?” “It was.” “Well congrats to you.” “Thanks.” “You’re most certainly welcome. Now to business, I hear that Nathius is getting death threats, any idea whom is doing this?” “Not to my knowledge, ask Ianidaus he is sure to know who it is.” “Of course, Glory and Honor unto you.” “And unto you as well.” Taylius walked off to the north, and of course Ianidaus walked in from the south. He said, “Hello! I’ve got enough money to buy the rest of the weaponry.” I replied, “Really, that’s great! Any other good news?” “Yes, but I’m not going to say it yet.” “Oh alright. So… what do you want?” “I want a Flail, a Polearm, a Spear, a Katana, a Net, a Whip, a Mace, a Knife, and a Broad Sword.” “O.K. Give me a second.” “So… how’s life?” “Good, how about your wife?” “We’re both doing fantastic.” “That’s great! Here you go.” “Thanks again, Glory and Honor unto you.” He then left. What’s with him?

I was then sent to arrest this trouble maker. Unfortunately it was the man who helped me earlier today. I gave Judas his money and started to take this man back Pontius. One of his followers tried to cut my ear, but I dodged. He intervened and literally saved his friends life. I don’t know what will happen to him, but please Jupiter forgive me…

We heard a crash, and I said, “Please take care of the kids dear.” She left to take care of our children; one is 6, the other 3. We also have taken in 4 kids off the street; they don’t stay but come and go as they please. I however continued to work. Over the years I have finished 16 of the weaponry, and I have to finish all 17. I only take breaks on the weekends. This project, and it’s continuation throughout history is on our true children’s shoulders. I then started to see the sun rise while I finished the 17th one, the Broad Sword of the Elements.

I decided to try out my broad sword. When I did the whole world went into chaos, and I could control all. I lost control of my mind for a second and then I returned to reality. These weapons are to powerful to be use. I must hide them, somewhere safe, somewhere no one will find them at. I know what I have to do, where I have to go. I was on guard duty when I was walking, I saw Nathius lying on the ground. He was dead. On him was a note that read, ‘Your whole group will die.’ I looked around and saw Ianidaus running towards me. He saw Nathius and the note he said, “Hurry, to the boat we used to escape Roma.” We ran off.

I was locking up with my fan, and then Curticus and the Golden Jewel ran up. “We must go back to Roma!” I said, “What? I ran onto the property. I saw all the guards dead, I continued to run to the top. I saw a guard got knocked out of a window when I reached the door. I ran to the chamber. I saw Adus and Jordus dead also. Adus was green, and Jordus was a puddle of goop. I then ran to the boat I hope I get there in time.

=== The Boat 31 A.D. 6th of April ===
We all saw him running to the boat. He jumped and landed on the deck. We sailed off to Roma, all 9 of us. On the way a boat of Romans started to hijack the boat, but we repelled them. We all jumped on their boat, except Williamon. He will hold off all other Roman ships in the area. We continued our voyage, and ran into some friends of the Resistance In Greece. All 10 ships with 20 soldiers each started to follow our lead. We then reached the harbors of Roma. 100 Roman ships intercepted us. The Resistances’ and Williamon’s ships fought while we landed on shore. Curticus and the Golden Jewel decided to protect the ship. We would continue on foot from here on.

I dodged to the left, killed 2 more Romans, and dodged to the right. I through the Gladius at the archer, dead hit. There were 4 more Romans, we heard something frightening. All 5 of us turned around and saw a wave destroy many of the ships, then it turned into a giant man of water, it closed in on us, picked up the boat, and closed in…

Antonicus, and his fan stayed to block the doorway. We got to work to open all the locks. There were over 35 riddles, and questions. We were almost done with the 40th lock, when we heard a commotion outside. We finished; my wife kissed me and said, “Go you know what you must do. I’ll hold anything that comes off.” I ran to the door of the vault.

I walked in, and started to find a place to put them. I saw the Elixir of Life, Pandora’s Box, Aeros’ Love Potion, The Chest of Secrets, and Thermite’s formula. I placed all the weapons in the very back. I wrote a note for if someone finds it. I then used the Broad Sword, and it attracted the demons, all 17 of them. They were standing in the doorway. They said, “Look what you’ve done. You made the most powerful weapons of the Cosmos, but we are the only ones allowed to use it.” I said, “Go %$#@ yourself.” I jumped and slammed the Vault shut. The creatures laughed as I was with in the vault as well. I said to them, “try to get out.” They tried to, but they didn’t get out. They yelled in anger, and approached me. I grabbed the Scythe of Posoin, and sealed the demon of poison in it. The rest of them screamed, I repeated the process until I was the only one in the room. Now I would be trapped here forever. No one will find this, and even if they do, They can’t break this vault. I then drank my most dangerous potion. Now I will fall into eternal sleep. My wife, I’m coming…
=== The Roman Ship ===
The Elements retreated into one home. We saw the whole fleet in ruin, the city in ruin. We survived. I only wished that Ianidaus were still around. We have to take care of his kids, and in a short time, 3 children. Still, us society is still alive, and we will be for a long time.
